Game 9 Recap

Jason Bilous had a strong outing for the Dash with five innings of one-run ball and struck out 10. A homer from Luis Curbelo and an RBI single from Alex Destino were enough to get the 2–1 win after the Dash bullpen held the Crawdads in check.

SOUVENIR CITY

Luis Curbelo blasted a solo home run in the sixth inning to grab the 2–1 Dash lead on Thursday, his third of the season. Curbelo is tied second in the High-A East in homers, fourth in runs batted in and second in slugging percentage.

BELIEVE IN THE BULLPEN

The Dash bullpen has not allowed a run in their last nine innings of work. After Jason Bilous’ strong start on Thursday, the game was tied at one and it was up to the bullpen to shut down the Crawdads. Luke Shilling was the first reliever of the night and delivered his fourth straight scoreless appearance with a shutout inning of work and a strikeout. Vincenzo Aiello took the ball in the seventh inning and fired off two hitless innings and struck out two batters. Caleb Freeman earned the save in the ninth, his first of the season.

CARRANZA DAY

Isaiah Carranza returns to the mound for his second start of the season. In his first start, the right-hander took the loss after three innings of work, allowed one earned run and struck out three. Carranza looks to bounce back on Friday.

First pitch is slated for 7:00 p.m.
